CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION FOR DIWAN BALLUBHAI SHALA –
AMDAVAD
(FORMERLY KNOWN AS PROPRIETARY SCHOOL)
Diwan Ballubhai Shala was established on
June 1, 1908 by well-known educators Jivanlal Diwan and
Balvantrai (Ballubhai) Thakore. Both were active in
freedom fighting activities during India’s struggle for
freedom. Over the past 100 years, thousands of students
have received a quality education from the school and
have established themselves as leaders/professionals in
the society. Preparations for centennial celebration
have already begun.
The
board of trustees of the school is requesting former
students to take an active role in the centennial
celebration. One key project is setting up a NEED-BASED
SCHOLARSHIP for students, as a good education is vital
in raising society’s standard. The board has authorized
JAYDEV DESAI, a former student of the school, to collect
donations within the U.S.
Your
